Cloudflare Migration Overview

At liveedit, we are committed to continuously improving the security and performance of our platform. As part of this effort, we're excited to introduce a new feature that will enhance your website's protection and speed. This update involves connecting your site to Cloudflare, a leading cloud-based security and performance solution.

To complete this migration, you will need to make mandatory DNS record changes by Sunday, May 31st, 2026If your domain is not migrated by Sunday, May 31st, 2026, your liveedit website will no longer be accessible to visitors from your domain.

To ensure a smooth transition, these changes will be completed in two separate phases, and details will be sent via email.

  • Phase 1 - Domain Validation
  • Phase 2 - Update DNS Records

Phase 1 Overview

To validate and secure your site with Cloudflare, you'll need to add two DNS records within your domain provider settings. We recommend calling your domain provider's support and requesting that they make these changes on your behalf.

These records will be provided to you via email from our team. If you are unable to locate the email or need it provided again, please Submit a Ticket.

Phase 2 Overview

Once your site has been validated, please update the following additional DNS records with your domain provider:

Add The Following A and CNAME Records:

Alias, Host, or NameRecord TypePoints to, Data, or Value
@A104.16.86.56
@A104.16.85.56
wwwCNAME

proxy-web.liveeditaurora.com

Remove Liveedit's Previous A Records:
Alias, Host, or NameRecord TypePoints to, Data, or Value
@A161.47.102.211
@A50.56.7.147
wwwCNAME@

Please Note:
  • If you have an additional subdomain, such as shop.example.com, please point the subdomain to proxy-web.liveeditaurora.com
  • Do not forward your domain to your built-in ".liveeditaurora.com" URL.
  • It can take upwards of 24-48 hours for DNS changes to propagate and go into effect, but most domain providers are often much faster.
  • We do not require you to change your Name Servers.

FAQ

Will there be any downtime after I update my DNS records in Phase 1 or 2?
No downtime is anticipated during DNS record updates when migrating to Cloudflare.

What happens if I do not change my IP address?

Your domain will no longer be connected to your liveedit website. Your liveedit website will still be accessible from your built-in liveedit URL.

I have multiple domains, do I enter the same records?

Phase 1 requires you to add unique DNS records to validate your domain. Our team will send an email for each domain you have connected.

I validated my domain and added the Phase 2 records, but my site is still not live.

Double-check that any past liveedit records have been removed:

Alias, Host, or NameRecord TypePoints to, Data, or Value
@A161.47.102.211
@A50.56.7.147
wwwCNAME@

Can I still use the older IP addresses?

Our older IP address of 161.47.102.211 or 50.56.7.147 will no longer function as of May 31st, 2026.

What happens to my SSL Certificate?

SSL Certificates will be set up for all connected domains.

Can liveedit make this DNS change for me?
