Why is Liveedit migrating to Cloudflare?
At liveedit, we're committed to continuously improving the security and performance of our platform. As part of this effort, we're moving our hosting infrastructure to Cloudflare, a leading cloud-based security and performance provider.
It's important to note that this is a change to how your site is hosted with our platform, not to your website content itself. Your site's design, content, and functionality will all stay the same. You won't need to do anything differently, and your visitors won't notice any difference, aside from a faster, more secure experience behind the scenes.
What do I need to do to migrate my domain?
The migration involves updating DNS records through your domain provider. The initial migration was done in two phases. With the deadline fast approaching, both phases can be done at once. Please reach out to our team to receive the DNS records you need to migrate.
Once received, we recommend reaching out to your domain provider's support team directly and requesting they add the required records on your behalf.
FAQs
What happens if I don't migrate by the deadline?
Your domain will no longer be connected to your liveedit website. However, your liveedit website will still be accessible from your built-in liveedit URL. You can complete both phases after the deadline to reconnect your domain.
Will my monthly subscription cost change?
Our monthly subscription costs are not changing at this time.
I have multiple domains, do I enter the same records?
Phase 1 requires you to add two unique DNS records for each domain to validate. Our team will send you details for each domain connected.
What happens to my SSL certificate?
SSL certificates are automatically set up for all domains connected to our Cloudflare hosting.
I have a new domain I wish to connect. What do I do first?
Please submit a ticket, and our team will provide the necessary next steps.
Cloudflare Migration Appointment
Liveedit doesn't host domain names, so we aren't able to directly change DNS records on our end. However, if your provider isn't giving you the support you need, or you'd rather not tackle DNS changes alone, book a time on the calendar below. We'll hop on a Zoom screenshare and walk through it with you.
Please make sure you can log into your Domain Provider account before booking a time. Without access, we won't be able to help walk you through adding DNS records.
If you are a new liveedit customer and don't have a domain connected yet, please submit a ticket before booking a time.
